Programs & Outreach

Community Programs

SAFE's community programs work extends beyond our shelter walls. Through prevention education, professional training, and community organizing, we work to shift the conditions that allow domestic and sexual violence to occur — creating a Bitterroot Valley where everyone is safe at home.

Community Is Strength

My humanity is bound up in yours, for we can only be human together.

Prevention & Awareness

SAFE leads community awareness campaigns throughout the year, connecting residents with information, resources, and ways to support survivors. We show up for our community during key awareness months and beyond.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Education & Training

We deliver presentations and training to schools, businesses, faith communities, and community organizations throughout Ravalli County. Topics include:

  • Recognizing signs of domestic and sexual violence
  • How to support a survivor
  • Teen and dating violence prevention
  • Bystander intervention
  • Trauma-informed practices

Ravalli County Coalition

SAFE leads the Ravalli County Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence — a coordinated community response bringing together partners from criminal justice, education, housing, healthcare, and victim services. Together we work to strengthen our community's response to violence and close the gaps survivors face when seeking help.

Community Partnerships

We actively cultivate relationships with agencies, businesses, and community leaders across the Bitterroot Valley. Strong partnerships mean survivors have more pathways to safety. If your organization would like to partner with SAFE, contact Brielle to get started.
