2024 Spring Fundraiser

Please join us for a Barbie-themed fundraiser for SAFE on Saturday, May 11th, 2024 at the Bitterroot River Inn in Hamilton, MT. Tickets go on sale March 25th through our event website HERE! Single tickets are $100 and A VIP table for 8 people is $1000. The VIP table includes 8 tickets to the event, preferred seating, access to the VIP cocktail hour, drink tickets, and more!

This event, which will celebrate all things BARBIE and the strong, empowered women she represents, features dinner, specialty cocktails, door/raffle prizes, a Live Auction and program, and a costume contest. Guests are encouraged to dress as their interpretation of Barbie and Friends, but it is certainly not required!

DJ BEA will be MC’ing the event and spinning dance hits all night. Once again, we will be hosting a lip sync battle, where teams can compete to win prizes and bragging rights. This part of the event is NOT to be missed! If you are interested in participating in the Lip Syc Battle, please contact Joni Lubke.

This year’s silent auction will again be held exclusively online and bidding begins on May 5th and will close on May 12th at noon. Even if you’re not attending the event, you can register and bid for items online! The Live Auction will only be available at the event on May 11th. Stay tuned as we add items to the online catalog, and please reach out if you have items to donate!

A limited number of event sponsorships will be available for this event. Information about SAFE’s 2024 Sponsorship Program can be found HERE.

Bryce Andrews Presentation & Reading to Befefit SAFE

A powerful meditation on a rural life of hunting in a world of guns- some of them used for sinister purposes… A welcome, eminently sensible contribution to the literature of the American West- and responsible gun ownership.” -Kirkus Reviews

Holiday Decor Drive with Jessi's Wine & Goods

Holiday Decor Drive with Jessi's Wine & Goods

When fleeing a domestic violence situation, the last thing on survivors' minds is what traditional holiday home decor they are going to take with them, as they are trying to figure out how to keep themselves and their children safe and healthy and find a new place to live. Because of that, these families' temporary shelter/housing that they find when they arrive at SAFE doesn't feel like "home" for the holidays. This week, Jessi’s Wine & Goods is teaming up with SAFE to host a holiday decor drive to provide a little holiday cheer to the temporary homes of our survivors and their families. Bring your new or very gently used holiday decor to Jessi's wine shop (100 Skeels Ave, Hamilton) from December 1st-10th and brighten a family's holiday season! Items we are looking for the most include string lights, tree ornaments and decorations, wreaths, stockings and stocking stuffers, advent calendars and gingerbread house kits for kids and any other jolly indoor decor for a small, temporary home. We have already received very generous donations of trees for our families, so please, no trees or outdoor decorations!

Farm to Table Gathering

Please join us for an intimate gathering at the beautiful Homestead on McVey where we will indulge in a locally-sourced 5-course meal catered by The Crave, paired with a curated selection of wines by Jessi's Wine and Goods, to learn about the life-saving work that SAFE does and what our future holds here in the Bitterroot Valley. We look forward to sharing stories, talking about our mission, and joining together for what comes next. This second annual event sold out quickly last year, and we expect the same in 2023, so don't delay and purchase your tickets as soon as they go on sale in mid-August!

When purchasing tickets online, please note an entree selection for each guest, as we must provide these to the caterer well in advance.

For questions or more information, please contact Brooke Angst at brooke@safeinthebitterroot.org.

A community where people don’t have to choose between safety and housing. This is our vision. It starts with SAFE shelter. SAFE is raising funds to expand our current emergency shelter and program space to provide safe shelter to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse and their children. The time is now. Join us.
