Current Event: White Ribbon Hootenanny

White Ribbon Volunteer Hootenanny 2015

Join us for the first-ever White Ribbon Volunteer Hootenanny!

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month! In these parts, that means White Ribbon Week – an annual public awareness campaign that asks our community to wear a white ribbon and take a stand against domestic violence. Each year, more than 5,000 people in Ravalli County participate in this campaign. This year, we’d like to see that grow to 10,000 people – nearly a quarter of our county’s population (and roughly the number who have been directly impacted by domestic violence in our community in their lives)! Help us spread a powerful message of hope for survivors and dedication to ending domestic violence. We need community volunteers to distribute posters and ribbon cards, decorate downtowns, talk to community groups, and get the word out! If you are excited about ending domestic violence, join us on the 8th to sign up for a delivery or other simple tasks, enjoy some yummy food, and be a part of our White Ribbon team. Also, if you belong to or are close to an organization, business or group that would like white ribbons, please let us know! Send your ideas for expanding the White Ribbon Campaign to the e-mail address below. You are what makes our community great!

Thursday, October 8th (in preparation for White Ribbon Week, October 16 to 23) Any time between 3 and 5pm at SAFE Office, 150 Morningstar Way (off Fairgrounds Road), Hamilton
